M’Diq is a very small and picturesque fishing harbour but since the marina’s at Smir and Kabila have been built yachts are discouraged from entering this harbour. This is a pity because one of the reasons to visit Morocco is to experience the delights of the local atmosphere Rather than just another marina. However a few minutes in a taxi allows you to sample the fare of the waterfront restaurants that serve the primarily the local populace as tourist are a rare thing in this part of Morocco.
